Importance of Belly Binding for Pregnancy And Postpartum Recovery

February 22, 2016 by Christina Hemming 1 Comment

Binding & Post Partum care is one of the most important things aside from proper nutrition and rest when preparing or recovering from pregnancy and childbirth.

– Abdominal Support for Pregnancy
– C-Section or postpartum Recovery
– Ease of Mobility
– Breastfeeding Support
– Shrinks Hips
– Help Flatten Tummy
– Internal Organ Support
– Tissue Memory

Belly binding is the ancient technique of wrapping your stomach during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Whether it’s a cesarean, vaginal birth, or even abdominal surgery. A belly support binder offers comfortable support to both lower back and tummy.

During pregnancy and birth the core stomach muscles’ fascia is cut and the muscles are stretched. These changes in the body put pressure on the joints and internal organs. A support belt compresses the abdomen to reduce pain and discomfort, increasing mobility to perform daily functions. Compression assists in tissue memory and organ placement of the uterus, bladder, and intestines. This allows your body to recall it’s shape prior to pregnancy, and helps flatten the stomach.

C Section births require extra care. Compression from binding brings the bodily fibers back together at the incision. It helps to reduce swelling and prevent the incision from tearing, while offering protection for the incision. This gives greater confidence holding the baby and moving around. Even sneezing and coughing is extremely painful during recovery, and the support belt eliminates this discomfort.

Massaging with essential oils is another integral part of the postpartum healing process. Massage can help organize tissue and scatter stagnant blood while at the same time encouraging fresh blood flow to the area. This care will also reduce the chances of internal adhesions. Essential oils provide the body with the nutrients it needs to reduce scars and stretch marks.

C Section Recovery Kit offers gentle techniques to ensure a soft, flat, and adhesion free scar. The kit includes a medical grade belly binder, essential oils, skin brush, and Abdomend massage guide DVD. Use the skin brush as part of the Abdomend system to reduce ingrown hairs and decrease swelling by stimulating the lymphatic system.

C-Section Recovery Kit is founded by women that know belly binding to be one of the most important element for pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. These women have been through vaginal births, cesarean sections, midwifes, the hospital setting, and can offer recovery tips, questions to ask your doctor, and further belly binding information.

I had an emergency c section and was in severe pain. A friend insisted I use C Section Recovery Kit by Belly Luv. I also felt that coughing and sneezing were extremely painful, let alone moving around to care for my baby. With the binder I was able to breastfeed, carry my baby, and do my own daily functions without fear of the incision tearing.
With the C Section Recovery Kit, diet, and exercise I was able to get my body and my confidence back. I highly recommend this product and the ancient technique of belly binding!!
