Your vagina will obviously be stretched out just after childbirth, but starts to shrink back and tone within just a few days. Kegels are exercises you can do to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, make it tight. Continuing these exercises regularly will improve the muscle tone of your vagina, making sex more enjoyable for both partners.
Where to do Kegels?
Kegel exercises are an easy and great way to get your vagina back into shape. You can do them anywhere; holding your baby, reading a book, watching a movie, and right now sitting at the computer. Best yet, when you’re having sex. Your partner will ensure you’re doing it properly and appreciate the added pleasure.
So how do you do them?
Start with an empty bladder. The feeling is one of squeeze and lift. Make sure you’re targeting only your pelvic floor muscles. Avoid pulling in your tummy, squeezing your legs together, tightening your butt, or holding your breath. Isolate the pelvic floor muscles, and begin by holding each contraction for a few seconds before releasing, relax for a few seconds and continue. As your muscles get stronger, you’ll want to hold each Kegel for ten seconds, and relax for another ten seconds.
Childbirth is such an amazing, life-changing experience. Taking care of your body will increase the healing process, and boost your energy, to be more available for intimate time with your partner.
Properly tending to your mind, body, and soul will ensure your family’s health, happiness, and prosperity.
