Postpartum Care For Great Sex

The greater you care for your body, the quicker you will heal, and the quicker you will be safe to have sex. Recovery begins in the last few months of your pregnancy. Your partner can begin to stretch your vagina to prepare for childbirth, use this time as erotic foreplay. With lubrication, have your mate take two fingers and circle the inside of the vagina. This will bring calming attention to the area and added flexibility, prior to the transformation of childbirth.

Whether you’ve had a vaginal birth or C-section, your body has gone through huge changes. Vaginal births have the potential to tear your vagina, leaving you 5-6 weeks to heal before making love. C-section births require healing from the incision, and bladder and organ displacement. C-section’s healing process before it’s comfortable and safe to have sex is less than a vaginal birth at about 4-6 weeks, there can however be other issues with sex after a cesarean.

A support belt compresses the abdomen to reduce pain, discomfort, and swelling from an incision. The belt offers protection and support to increase mobility, so you’re able to perform daily functions.

Massaging with essential oils is another integral part of the postpartum healing process. Use this time for intimate massage as well.  Touch and genuine affection is just as nourishing as making love. Essential oils also provide the body with the nutrients it needs to reduce scars and stretch marks.

Having an exciting and fulfilling sex life is just as important as caring for your baby. Transforming the intimacy with your baby to each other can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. Properly tending to your mind, body, and soul will ensure your families health, happiness, and prosperity.
